MiniFonts are especially designed for web pages, multimedia and program interfaces. Unlike conventional print-oriented fonts, they provide crisp screen images at very small sizes simply because they don't have to be smoothed.
Created in TrueType format (for Mac and PC), they are optimised for screen display. As they don't require anti-aliasing, GIF files made with them can be saved at minimal bit-depths keeping your file sizes tiny.
